Bruges: Our-Lady Church and Michelangelo's Madonna

The spire of Our Lady Church, along with the Belfort and St Saviour’s Cathedral, defines Bruges’ skyline. At 115.5 metres, it’s the world’s second tallest brick tower. Following restorations, the church interior shines again, showcasing numerous artistic treasures. `The highlight is Michelangelo’s marble Madonna and Child, originally meant for Siena Cathedral, later purchased by the Moucron family and brought to Bruges. The chancel features Bernard van Orley’s triptych of the Passion and the 15th-16th century mausoleums of Charles the Bold and Mary of Burgundy.
